Hans Klein Sportmoden KG was founded in 1948 by Hans Klein in a one-room apartment in Sonthofen. Ten years later, the company moved into new, larger premises.
Due to steadily increasing sales, a factory building with its own development department, pattern-making, and sewing facilities was built in Sonthofen as early as 1964.
After several years, this building also reached its capacity limits, so in 1980 a new building was constructed and the company subsequently moved to its current headquarters at Imberger Straße 17.
In 1992, the company was expanded with a large building for warehouse stock.
The change of ownership in 2012 created valuable synergies, as the existing sales operations in Germany of the newly named Authentic Klein GmbH could now be combined with the company’s own existing production in Macedonia under the same management.
At the same time as the change of ownership, the product range also underwent several innovations in terms of materials and design.
With production in Macedonia, Authentic Klein GmbH expressly supports a European location that ensures short transport routes and therefore ecological sustainability.
At the beginning, the Authentic Klein product range included ski and hiking clothing, softshell jackets, tracksuits, and thermal trousers. We can also look back on a long series of special productions for well-known customers, which continues to this day.
Today, our focus is on the production of leisure jackets and trousers.
Due to changing market conditions, we set ourselves the goal long ago of producing our sports and leisurewear in both regular sizes and plus sizes.
We are therefore very proud to be able to offer our products in more than 30 different sizes for women and even more than 50 different sizes for men.
Through the optimal combination of tradition, innovation, and market-oriented production, the company is ideally equipped for the challenges of the future.
